For the longest time, my world revolved around my son. As a single mom, I poured every ounce of my energy into making sure he was happy, cared for, and loved. Somewhere in the midst of endless responsibilities—school runs, bedtime stories, work deadlines, and late-night worries—I forgot about someone important: myself.
It wasn’t intentional. It never is. But one day, I hit a moment where I felt completely drained—like I had given away every part of me, leaving nothing behind. That day, I stood still for the first time in years. I looked around and realized I had been surviving, not living. And in that quiet realization, I made a decision: I needed to care for myself as much as I cared for my little boy.
